jam fest posters (case study)

Jam Fest is an Original Philippine Music (OPM) music festival celebrating the great original music of the country.

This project was developed for the Domestika course Creative Poster Design for Events.

Modern OPM music is often inspired by funk and jazz. I wanted to represent these influences in the poster in a modern way. I also wanted to explore how the design and illustrations on the poster can generate different vibes.

Initial composition and colour for version 1. For this design, I wanted to the colourful waves to express mood and atmosphere of the festival.

Final designs for Version 1.

Version 2 played with the illustration of a sun, once again making use of waves to capture the groove of the music.

Final designs of Version 2. The colours emulate sunrises and sunsets.
