Michaela Ruth is an illustrator, graphic design, and writer. From a young age, she was inspired by her artist grandfather and developed a passion for art and design.

A Filipino born and raised in Hong Kong, her work often explores identity, especially through the lens of food and cuisine. Other common motifs in her work include hands, characters, nature, and slice of life scenes.

Michaela mainly works in digital illustration but occasionally dabbles in analogue art. Most recently developing an interest in relief printing and gouache illustration.

She is also an aspiring writer, writing poetry and short stories.

Her other interests include reading and playing the bass guitar.
